Community rules

The rules.

  1. 01

    Follow Discord's Terms of Service

All members must comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Violations reported to Trust & Safety can get the entire server taken down, so this one is non-negotiable.

  2. 02

    Respect Everyone

Treat every member with courtesy. Harassment, hate speech, slurs, or discrimination of any kind will get you banned without warning.

  3. 03

    No Spam or Self-Promotion

Don't flood channels with repeat messages, copypasta, or emoji walls. Don't constantly plug your projects, newsletter, or startup, and don't DM members unsolicited links. Share only when it's actually relevant to the conversation.

  4. 04

    Use the Right Channel

Read the channel topic before posting and keep conversations on-topic. Use threads to keep replies tidy and take side conversations to #off-topic.

  5. 05

    No NSFW or Shock Content

No explicit, graphic, gore, or shock content anywhere on the server. This applies to messages, images, GIFs, links, memes, server nicknames, and profile pictures.

  6. 06

    Keep Server Discussions Private

Interview questions, comp numbers, referral notes, and personal stories shared here don't get screenshotted, leaked, or posted on Twitter or LinkedIn. Trust is what makes this server useful.

  7. 07

    One Account Per Person

No alt accounts. Don't use alts to evade bans, get around the application gate, sneak friends in, or inflate engagement. Ban evasion will result in a permanent ban on every account.

  8. 08

    No Illegal or Malicious Activity

No piracy, cracked software, leaked proprietary code, cheating on take-homes, or sketchy growth tactics. No malware, phishing links, IP grabbers, or token loggers. No exceptions.

  9. 09

    No Impersonation or Fake Credentials

Don't pretend to be another member, a moderator, or someone you're not. Don't fake a job, company, or referral path. Misrepresenting yourself is an instant ban.

  10. 10

    No Excessive Pings

Don't @mention members, moderators, or roles unless they genuinely need to see it. Never use @everyone or @here. Don't ping someone repeatedly if they haven't replied — they saw it.

By being a member of buildercore.io you agree to follow these rules. They aren't there to be strict for the sake of it — they exist because every community that stays good stays good on purpose. Moderators reserve the right to remove members who break them, even if a specific situation isn't spelled out above. Thanks for helping keep this place worth showing up to.
